Broome County Highway Work Planned for Week of 10/27

(BROOME COUNTY, NY) – The following work is scheduled on Broome County roadways beginning Monday, October 27^th.  

• Paving Broome County Airport Road – County Route 069 (between Harry L. Drive & East Maine Road/Lewis Road intersections)
• Cleaning ditches on Old Newark Valley Road, Trim Street & Beartown Road
• Rebuilding shoulders on Killawog Hill Road & Loughlin Road
• Culvert work on Stratmill Road & Taft Avenue
• Mowing right of way on several county roads

Motorists are reminded to use caution in work zones, even when they are not active as some may be modified as constructions progress. Slowing down is always the most effective way to keep yourself and workers safe. You may also want to give yourself extra time during commutes to accommodate for any detours or change in traffic patterns.
