Broome County Highway Work Planned for Week of 7/14

(BROOME COUNTY, NY) – The following work is schedule on Broome County roadways beginning Monday, July 14^th.

• Cleaning ditches and rebuilding shoulders on South Street, Farm to Market Road, Brady Hill Road, Ballyhack Road & Stratmill Road
• Paving Loughlin Road – County Route 169, from NYS Rt. 11 to Old State Road (weather dependent)
• Pavement work on Cherry Valley Hill Road
• Culvert work on Hyde Street & Old State Road
• Storm damage cleanup (trees & limbs) on multiple county roadways
• Mowing right of way on several county roads
• Painting on various county roads

Motorists are reminded to use caution in work zones, even when they are not active as some may be modified as constructions progresses. Slowing down is always the most effective way to keep yourself and workers safe. You may also want to give yourself extra time during commutes to accommodate for any detours or change in traffic patterns.
