Broome County Highway Work Planned for Week of 9/15

(BROOME COUNTY, NY) – The following work is scheduled on Broome County roadways beginning Monday, September 15^th.

• Paving on Stateline Road – County Route 225 (from Old Route 17 to Pennsylvania Line)
• Cleaning ditches and rebuilding shoulders on Saddlemire Road, Trim Street, Brady Hill Road, Ballyhack Road & Hyde Street
• Culvert work on Hyde Street
• Grader patching on Dunham Hill Road & East Maine Road
• Mowing right of way on several county roads
• Painting on various county roads

Motorists are reminded to use caution in work zones, even when they are not active as some may be modified as constructions progresses. Slowing down is always the most effective way to keep yourself and workers safe. You may also want to give yourself extra time during commutes to accommodate for any detours or change in traffic patterns.
